Fantasy Football Focus: Week 11

Mistakes are made to teach us and boy am I learning!

James LeBeauby James LeBeau

Predicting how football players are going to perform on a weekly basis isn't a science, despite what 'experts' would have you believe, it's more akin to a crap-shoot, you win some and you loose some. Last week, I lost one big time when suggesting that Arizona stud wideout Larry Fitzgerald be placed on the pine of your fantasy football team. Fitz went out and had the best game of this season, posting a whopping 26 points in Arizona's upset of Philadelphia and while I would like to try to take some credit for giving him the motivation to rise up, I just can't talk myself into that being the case. Thankfully, the vast majority of Fitzgerald owners would have scoffed at my suggestion and started him anyway, rightly so it seems, so at least my conscious can be clear on that debacle. This week, however, I can guarentee that my picks are spot on so follow them with certainty.

Start of the Week: Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle (at St. Louis)

For two straight weeks, Lynch has crossed the century mark, last week against one of the stiffest defenses in the NFL, the Baltimore Ravens. This week, he faces easier competition in the St. Louis Rams, which should help to propel him to his third straight 100 yard game. The Rams allowed a woeful Browns team to run up 126 yards on the ground last week and they were using the ball boy to carry the rock I think. Expect another great game from Lynch this week.

Last Weeks Result: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos (18 ff points)

Brandon Jacobs, RB Giants (vs PHI)

Denarius Moore, WR, Oak (at MIN)

Rob Gronkowski, TE, NE (vs KC)

Sit of the Week: Michael Vick, QB,Philadelphia (at Giants)

Right off the rip let me tell you that there is a chance Vick may still not play this weekend due to his broken ribs and if that's the case, damn did I make a good pick for sit of the week! Even if he does suit up and head out, don't expect much out of him as he is dealing with the pain of his ribs and the possibility of being without Jeremy Maclin due to injury. Plus they are facing a fired up Giants team in New York. All in all, this is a recipe for disaster for Philly fans.

Last Weeks Results: Larry Fitzgerald, WR Arizona Cardinals (26 ff points)
