Thor: Tales of Asgard

Hot on the heels of the smash hit feature film debut of Thor comes an animated companion piece telling the story of the Odinsons as teenagers on the cusp of manhood, entitled Thor: Tales of Asgard

Available on May 17 on Blu-ray and regular-style DVD, Thor: Tales of Asgard is a feature-length film that shows the strong bond between Thor and Loki as young brothers striving to learn the skills that will one day make them into powerful forces to be reckoned with.  When Thor realizes that all his arena-combat victories are shams because no one is willing to publicly shame the son of Odin – a point driven home by the fact that the lovely Sif was able to beat him in five seconds with only the handle of a pitchfork – he becomes obsessed with proving himself the warrior he always imagined himself to be.  This leads the brothers to stow away on a sojourn with the Warriors Three that sends them through Jotunheim, the land of the Frost Giants, to find the powerful Sword of Surtur.
