Britt Robertson is an American television and film actress. She is famous for her roles on such TV shows as "Life Unexpected," "The Secret Circle," and "Under the Dome," as well as films such as "Dan in Real Life" and "Delivery Man."
Brittany "Britt" Leanna Robertson was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 18, 1990, but soon moved to Greenville, South Carolina where she was raised by her parents, Beverly and Ryan. Britt was the oldest child of seven with three brother and three sisters. She was also homeschooled by her mother. She got her start as an actress while living in Greenville, where she starred in various stage roles at the Greenville Little Theater. By the time she was 12 years old, she decided it was time to start making a move towards Hollywood, and, therefore, would make extended trips with her grandmother to Los Angeles in order to audition for roles on television series.
After various attempts to break into the industry, including being cast in a television pilot that failed to be picked up by the network and starring in small roles on series such as "Sheena" and "Power Rangers Time Force," Britt finally landed her big break when she was cast as Michelle Seaver in the TV reunion film, "Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers" in 2004. From here, she won her first recurring role on the TV series, "Freddie," as well as continued to act on series such as "The Winner" and "CSI." In 2007, Britt won the biggest role of her career when she was cast in the Steve Carell movie, "Dan in Real Life."
After her movie into feature films, both her television and film careers began to flourish. Between 2010 and 2013, she was cast on three seperate television shows as a lead character. She was also able to nab more and more film roles, including 2012's "The First Time," where she met her boyfriend of several years, Dylan O'Brien. Her career continues to thrive, as she was soon cast in the 2015 Disney feature, "Tomorrowland," which also stars George Clooney and Hugh Laurie.
