Briana Evigan is an American actress best known for her role as Andie from the film, "Step Up 2: The Streets." She has also earned a reputation as a "scream queen" for starring in numerous horror films such as "Sorority Row," "Mother's Day," and "The Devil's Carnival."
Briana Barbara-Jane Evigan was born on October 23, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. The youngest of three children in a family of film industry professionals, it was obvious from a very young age that she was born to shine. From the age of 9, Briana was learning how to dance, I skill which proved pivotal to her most famous role in the film sequel, "Step Up 2: The Streets." But prior to landing that role, she spent much of her time learning to sing and playing piano, as well.
Briana's first actual film role was in "House of the Damned" in 1996, a film that her father, Greg Evigan, also starred in. From here, Briana continued to hone her dance skills by appearing in numerous music videos for artists such as Linkin Park, T-Pain, and Enrique Iglesias before finally landing her career changing role in the "Step Up" sequel. From here, Briana began taking many rolls in horror films such as "Sorority Row" and "Burning Bright," a move which firmly set her apart as a "scream queen."
Of course, Briana is no stranger to television either, as she has taken on guest-roles on series such as "Fear Itself" and "Longmire" to fill the little between film shoots.It is safe to say that she is well on her way to being a major player in Hollywood, especially considering the fact that she has been hired to once again reprise her role as Andie in the fourth installment of the "Step Up" series, "Step Up: All In."
