Ever since the beginning of his run on Justice League, Bryan Hitch has been building to something big. Now, it’s here. The final epic of Hitch’s time on the book is just around the corner. And to start off, Hitch is introducing fans to the children of the Justice League!
In the first part of “Legacy,” the action picks up 20 years from now, as Hunter (the son of Wonder Woman) leads Cruise (daughter of the Flash ), Cube (Cyborg’s son), Serenity (Aquaman’s daughter), plus Green Lantern’s son and daughter! In our exclusive preview of Justice League #26, the next generation of heroes travels to Mount Olympus, which has somehow become the seat of power of the Sovereign. And in this nightmarish vision of the future, one of the new team’s greatest enemies is a very familiar face who has drastically changed…and not for the better!
This issue was written by Bryan Hitch, with pencils by Fernando Pasarin, inks by Oclair Albert, and colors by Brad Anderson. Hitch provided the primary cover while Nick Bradshaw drew the open order variant cover for this issue. Here’s the official description from DC Comics:
“LEGACY” part one! A group of heroes from a post-apocalyptic future escape into the past to stop their world from coming to be. But to do it they’re going to need the help of the Justice League—who just happen to be these time travelers’ parents!
Justice League # 26 will be released this Wednesday, August 2, in comic stores everywhere.
